Of Monks and Masters has subs! 😲

OMG, seriously!! I had more or less given up hope ever seeing subs for Monks.

I went on YT just a while ago to check something in the last epi and saw that it was subbed! I was utterly flabbergasted but ecstatic. 😀 I then checked all the other episodes, alas – epis 2-3 and 8 are still unsubbed. Still, that’s better than nothing and having the last two episodes with subs is more important anyway, as those are the crucial ones. Gosh, what a wonderful surprise this was. Guess I’ll be rewatching all the subbed epis in the near future. *happy dance* 🎉

On Remakes and Off Tangent

I have to confess that my first reaction to reading the recent news about OCN remaking Life on Mars was a horrified “NO WAY!!” Let’s be real here, Korea’s track record with remakes is pretty awful. I don’t want them anywhere near this show. And it’s the Overly Cruel Network to boot. Ottokke!

HIGH & LOW

This is probably going to be cheesy as hell but visually stunning all the same. The chances for subs ain’t high either. I’m still going to watch the heck out of it, aren’t I? If I can get my hands on it. Sigh. Totally EXILE’d… Pox on you Takahiro, it’s ALL your fault! XD

BEAST are dorks with Park Bo Gum

Taking a break from the usual programming… *g*

Park Bo Gum is currently claiming accolades as one of the resident psycos in I Remember You but he is also one of the current MCs at Music Bank. Which brings me to his adorably hilarious turn as ‘part’ of boyband BEAST during their winning encore yesterday. XD

I don’t know if PBG is friendly with the dorks of BEAST or if the boys just decided to tease him, but he was pretty game even though embarrassed to high heaven. Just look at his “OMG! Do I really have to… I can’t dance! *so embarrassing*” faces, starting at 1:39 – LOL!

Some thoughts on kdrama quality

I guess I shouldn’t really let half formed opinions loose as they may end up as springboards for someone else’s post. 🙂 It’s a great post with perfectly valid points and in it’s turn made me mull a little more on this topic.

Discovery of Love – the OST

Discovery of Love was one of the unexpected pleasures this year, love it. Complex characters and a thought provoking story – just up my alley.

DoL also has a wonderful OST and this post is all about that. I’ve added links to English lyrics when avalable, the rest of the viedos are either hardsubbed or have lyrics under the ‘show more’. No spoilers. Enjoy! 🙂

Secret Door just got more interesting…

Oh my! Seo Joon Young in a new drama?! Can I squee? ;P

I’ve been brewing a post about Just You, which made me wonder what this guy has been up to lately. Nothing much since Unemployed Romance, it seemed. He is such an underrated young actor and I’m pretty chuffed that he is now part of a rather wonderful ensamble cast of Secret Door. And it’s a reunion with both Lee Je Hoon and Han Seok Kyu to boot.^^ Definitely checking the drama out. I truly hope it’ll win me over in a way Joseon Gunman couldn’t (forever sad about that).
