For someone who’s not an Aghase I sure post a lot about GOT7 but in my 10+ years of following kpop, they are the only group whose music truly speaks to me. I do like them as a group too, there’s just something about them that feels so organic and wholesome. 😀 Anyway, when they said that they are not going anywhere, they really ment it. To everyone’s surprise GOT7 just dropped a new song, totally out of the blue. Even cynical olde me got tears in her eyes watching the video. 🙂
Just another kpop post – feel free to skip. 😉 Continue reading
I have always loved the fact that all of the members of A.C.E are vocalists, even the rappers. Well, the vocalists can rap too, so… 🙂 They all have a slightly different vocal color, which blend nicely to make a lovely, harmonious whole. It’s a pity that A.C.E is still rather underrated, but here are just too many groups around these days. It’s hard to get ahead no matter how good you are, especially if the group is from a smaller company.
Anyways, the vocal line of A.C.E just released a lovely ballad as part of producer Hong Chang Woo’s music project and they promoted it in couple of music shows. An additional way to get the group some recognition. Continue reading
I haven’t been keeping tabs on the music scene lately, so I completely missed the release of Jackson’s (of GOT7) new single 100 Ways. I’m glad I caught up now as it’s SO good and I love, love, love the MV! The director of the MV is Daniel Cloud Campos, a dancer himself and the dance crew is The Kinjaz. What I also love is the soundscape, do a 2nd spin and just close your eyes and listen.
I don’t know why Jackson thinks he can’t sing or act as he did just great on both accounts. 🙂 I’m pretty sure that anyone who’s watched even couple of Chinese fantasy costume dramas will recognise the hand movements and will probably also think that the “story” looks familiar. Well, it’s about love that trancends even death, so…
Here’s the video, I’ve watched it far too many times already and now the song is stuck in my head. 😀
Yes, it’s another kpop post and I do apologize, but GOT7 is just came back and I’m loving it! I know I’ve been claming I don’t have a bias group anymore but I may have been lying through my teeth. LOL! I am beginning to think I do have one. 😀 Continue reading
I don’t pay much attention to the yearly influx of noobs in kpop anymore. There are just too many debuting each year and most of them sound and look more or less the same. That said, every now and then a group comes along and makes me sit up and take notice. Usually it’s a combination of a song that I like from get go and a MV that is eye catching in some way. I also don’t have time to follow the content these noobs put out in various medias, so I don’t really get to know the members in a way I did with my older faves. It’s a YT video here and a variety apparence there. But, at least I’m still able to learn their names, and possibly positions pretty quickly. 🙂 Continue reading
I didn’t fall in love just with the cinematography of Ever Night but also with the soundtrack. Combined they probably make about one third of my enjoyement of the drama. *g* I would really, really love to get a full album… I wonder if it’s available somewhere. Here is a collection of OST songs I was able to find floating around YT. Enjoy!
Sorry folks, but this is going to be another kpop post. Feel free to scroll past. 😀 Continue reading
When I first discovered Korean dramas I never imagined that kpop would be part of the package. Heck, I didn’t know there was such a thing as kpop. 😀 Fast forward several years to 2018 and kpop is more or less all I do listen, with occasional sidetrips into jpop/jrock. Continue reading
I give up. Guess I’m going to make this a regular feature with a category and all. *g* There are times when I really want to blather about music, so… Continue reading
