OMG, seriously!! I had more or less given up hope ever seeing subs for Monks.
I went on YT just a while ago to check something in the last epi and saw that it was subbed! I was utterly flabbergasted but ecstatic. π I then checked all the other episodes, alas – epis 2-3 and 8 are still unsubbed. Still, that’s better than nothing and having the last two episodes with subs is more important anyway, as those are the crucial ones. Gosh, what a wonderful surprise this was. Guess I’ll be rewatching all the subbed epis in the near future. *happy dance* π

Great! Ep 8 in the bag. And to be clear, that’s the other china movie channel (1904). I actually first went to δΈε½η΅ε½±ι’ι China Movie Offical Channel. Ep 8 did not have subs there but I noticed that Ep 3 “Castle of the White Horse” does. So, the only one without subs now is Ep 4 “Curse of the Gambling House”. We are getting there!
Timescout – I have been watching the subbed episodes on and off for the last 3 days. I must say that these are very detailed and intelligent stories (with a main story background) and I am thoroughly enjoying these! Once they sub all the episodes I can definitely say this will be re-watched in ts entirety. Needless to say it is a whole different experience watching with subs than trying to get through with raw episodes. This made my entire week!
Monks is very, very good in visual storytelling but there’s obviously an important layer missing when you can’t understand what is being said. I’m really looking forward to watching the subbed epis. Fingers crossed that the reast get subs too at some point.

Oh wow!! I remember you talking about that show, and how you watched it without subs! How amazing, that it’s now (mostly) subbed! That’s cause for a rewatch indeed! π₯³
It’s still my fave cdrama to date. Just watching couple of snippets brought back all the “feels”. π
